Volunteer….Make A Difference…Be proactive

My campaign is all about helping Upper Darby reach its potential. I want to honor our history, experience the present, and plan for the future. To win this very important election, I need help from you. Here are some ways you can volunteer to help:

Host a coffee hour at your home and invite your friends and neighbors. I would love to speak with as many residents as I can and hear their views and ideas.

Make phone calls a few weeks before the elections, which are May 15th and November 6th and urge voters to turn out and support me.

Deliver brochures to homes in your neighborhood. This will save money on postage.

Go canvassing with me or other campaign volunteers to inform voters of their new choice for Mayor.

Work at your polling place on Election Day, even if you only have an hour or two. I need volunteers to hand out sample ballots to voters. This really makes a huge difference in the outcome of the election.

Forward my website to as many people as possible. Building support and momentum is what wins elections!

Contribute money to the ‘Janice Oakey For Mayor’ campaign. Although I have the endorsement of the Upper Darby Democratic Committee, the support of Congressman Joe Sestak among many other local politicians, and a growing grass roots effort, I cannot win without money to print and distribute my message. The Republican Machine can outspend me, but they have no vision for Upper Darby. Unfortunately, I need to be well funded to win.
